Grievance Policy
Coaches for Good seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to resolve any grievances in a timely and fair manner. Trainees have the right to raise a grievance regarding the delivery or content of the Programme, facility concerns, the behaviour of a trainer or member of staff, or a decision about assessment or completion of the Programme. All grievances will be addressed to the best of our ability to prevent further problems. The process for raising a grievance is set out below.
Step 1: A trainee should first attempt to resolve the issue directly with the trainer, member of staff, or trainee with whom they have an issue. If the trainee is not comfortable approaching that individual, they can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: If the trainee is not comfortable approaching the individual directly, or is unable to resolve the issue that way, they should submit a written grievance to the Operations Manager within 7 working days. The Operations Manager will review the issue and speak with the trainee within 7 working days of receiving the complaint, and will work with all parties involved to resolve it.
Step 3: If the trainee does not feel the issue has been resolved, a written request for an appeal should be sent to the Education Director for review. The appeal should include the original complaint and the reason or reasons the trainee is not satisfied with the attempts to resolve it. Appeals are reviewed and a written response is provided to the trainee within 14 working days. All appeal decisions are final.
