Affordable Coach Training with Social Impact at its heart
Please be patient while we build our lovely new website!Ā
Our Mission
Coaches for Good is a social value business. Our mission is to remove cost as a barrier to becoming a professional coach, and to deliver social impact by equipping every coach we train to give back, supporting charities with free coaching. We deliver ICF-aligned coach education at a fraction of the industry price, taught by experienced ICF credentialed coaches, so that talented people are not excluded from the profession by what they can afford.
Our Vision
A coaching profession that reflects the whole of society, not only those who can afford to enter it, alongside a charity sector with access to free, or low cost, skilled and ethical coaching.
Our Values
Accessibility
We believe the ability to coach should be determined by aptitude and commitment, not by income. Our pricing, our payment options and our teaching are all designed to open a door that has traditionally been closed. This is personal to us: our founder needed an inheritance to fund her own coach training, and we are building the organisation she needed at that time.
Social Impact
Giving back is built into our Level 1 Programme, not bolted on. Every trainee completes ten hours of coaching with one of our charity partners, so that the sector benefits from their learning while they practise their coaching skills. Our trainees complete their training having already worked in service of others, and the social value we create is measured by the organisations and people supported.
Credibility
Affordable does not mean less than. Our Level 1 Programme is aligned with the ICF Core Competencies, the ACC Minimum Skills Requirements and the ICF Code of Ethics. Our mentor coaching is delivered by ICF credentialled coaches and our assessment is evidence based. We hold ourselves to the same standards as programmes that cost much more.
Integrity
We are honest with prospective trainees about what completing our programme requires: commitment and time. If a trainee is finding it hard to make that time, or is not yet ready for assessment, we say so openly and work with them on what needs to happen next.
Learning and Growth
We expect our trainees to embrace a Coaching Mindset, and we hold ourselves to the same expectation to keep developing. We actively seek feedback from our trainees and change what we do in response. Our team continues to train, be mentored and be supervised.
Community and Belonging
Coaching can be an isolating profession, particularly for those without an established network. We build groups that support one another during training and stay connected afterwards, and we welcome coaches from every background into that community.
